Chapter Nine: Schoten (R.I.C.E.)

Well, things had not gone according to plan, but, as they say in Gaelic (and given that I just arrived in in Dublin) gang AFT agley. Which roughly translates to, the best laid plans of mice and men often go astray.
Instead of spending a week walking through the rainy fields of northwestern Spain, I spent that week resting, reading and relaxing in sunny Belgium.
Jasper’s parents were nothing short of spectacular hosts and did everything they could to make me feel welcomed and comfortable, not to mention very well fed, as I gave my ankle the rest it needed to continue on my travels.
We went out for lovely lunches and dinners, visited with relatives, watched movies, and read.
I am beyond grateful for the love and support that I received. I feel revived and ready to (slowly) get started again.
Some snapshots, below, of my lovely stay. ❤
